Andy Lee (@realandylee) is an award-winning writer, poet and lens-based artist. His passion for photography was ignited in the basement darkroom of his father’s camera store, and his visual storytelling skills forged through Toronto Metropolitan University’s Photography and Documentary Media MFA programs. Andy’s work has been featured by the CONTACT Photography Festival, Toronto Outdoor Art Fair, The Globe and Mail, John B. Aird Gallery, Exclaim! magazine, Met Radio 1280AM, the University of Toronto, CBC and more.
A full member of the Writers Guild of Canada, his screen credits include Crash Canyon, Justin Time and Cash Cab. Andy has incanted his poems at the International Festival of Authors, the Nuyorican Poets Café in New York City, down under in Australia and on the playa of the Black Rock Desert, among other places. His poetry has appeared in Event and Vallum magazines and was shortlisted for the latter’s 2017 Chapbook Award. Andy’s poetry chapbook, Love Is a Side Effect of Life, and children’s book, Chrys and Coco, are available on Amazon.
